On Saturday May 21st, 2022, the Granite School District in collaboration with DAB Global Technologies hosted a refugee soccer clinic at Bennion Junior High School that saw approximately 20 Afghani refugee kids participate in the first of many such events. The kids were treated to focused coaching and soccer skills training by professional and amateur coaches.
Mr. David Gomez, school district director, also attended and was fervently supportive of the event, he endorse the initiative and showed commitment towards future sessions. The kids also received complimentary soccer cleats from Because He First Loved Us (BHFLU) which they thoroughly enjoyed. Our heartfelt thanks and appreciation goes out to the Refugee Soccer founder Adam Miles for the donation of soccer balls and scarves for the kids and staff.
